About Us

Renelt Belic Design is a multidisciplinary design studio located in Mona Vale, in Sydney's beautiful Northern Beaches.

While most of our clientele are based in Australia we also work on international projects, with clients based in America, Hong Kong and Europe.

Our award-winning body of work is as diverse as our own interest - new brands, brochures, interactive, catalogues, identity, websites, custom illustrations and product design have all produced successful outcomes for our clients and their customers.

We particularly enjoy challenging briefs and a strive to deliver solutions for our clients that are innovative and results driven. Underpinning every design decision we make is the following question:"Does this communicate the idea effectively?"

Renelt Belic Design was founded in 1999 by Petar Belic and Anita Renelt.

While Anita is still involved in the administration side, Petar is the art director and takes responsbility for overseeing all design projects at the studio.

We employ a close-knit team of designers with complementary talents, and increasingly an understanding of the technical nature of different platforms - whether they are paper or electronic based. We see the challenges of design evolving, and are constantly evolving our own skillset and experiences to produce the best design outcome possible. Our goal as a studio is to work with clients to build successful communication strategies and outcomes.

Principals

Petar Belic

At first studying Aerospace Engineering at UNSW, Petar went on to focus on a BA in English and History.

With a few years in the design industry as a graphic designer and web developer, Petar set up Renelt Belic Design with a partner and has not looked back since.

Projects of particular interest include:

Redesign of all point of purchase collateral for Burger King, including designing and writing the brand standards guide for Burger King Australia in 1999, and project leader for design, co-ordination and rollout of point of purchase displays in all Australian restaurants.
Art direction and concepts for all marketing collateral of various fashion brands, including several brands of women's swimwear ranges.
Illustrator for children's books, and various mascots and characters.
Art direction, illustration and layout design and co-ordinator for Mariner's Diary - a 300+ page book featuring colour illustrations and educational text throughout.
Advertising concepts, design and illustration for Cartoon Network print media campaigns, and 'HQ' magazine.
Design, layout and illustration for medical communication
Game design, some programming, and artwork assets for various online Flash based games

Petar enjoys learning and innovation, and keeps abreast of the latest developments in visual design. The technology of modern design is a particular interest and recently has become a contributor and developer to a number of open-source technologies for online design and content.

Acting as Art Director for Renelt Belic Design, his main responsibility is to provide creative innovation and solutions to client briefs, and to ensure a consistency of quality in any approach to the design challenge.

He has also acts in the role of mentor and tutor for junior staff who have earned a Certificate in Graphic Design with an on-the-job training course through NSW's TAFE College.

He is currently completing a Certificate in 3D Design & Animation from AIE.

After hours he can be found sculpting, illustrating and writing when not surrounded by his children.
